Weekend 18th 19th June 2016 Croft

What a fabulous race weekend at Croft. We have not previously put up commentary on the race meet at Oulton Park, as Michael Hill’s PR company have already posted a superb article on this here @MHpromotions Oulton Park
Saturday at Croft was perfect weather for spectators and drivers. In the first race, Seb started in 5th place and made his way up to 2nd place, whilst fighting hard to hold the position he was closing in on the leader. If there had been a few more laps Seb would have had a real chance to go for the lead. In his second race, Seb again fought well and took 3rd position this time. Incredibly skilled racing over both races. There was also the extra pressure on Seb with his father @Andypriaulx racing in Le Mans 24 hour at the same time.
Although on Sunday the results were not as good, the racing was nonetheless fantatastic. A coming together in the opening stages of the race split the pack and Seb did well to avoid this. On the final corner in the last lap Seb gained a valuable position and tactically avoided another spinning car on the track.
The results after the race meet at Croft puts Seb 7th overall in the junior table this season. Fantastic work, keep it up Seb #Seb11. #Guernseygrown, @Parishgroup.

Weekend 7 – 8th May Thruxton

Third race in the series and following a Rookie 3rd podium at Donington Park further podiums were a strong possibility. Seb exceeded expectations by taking 1st Rookie in both races and in the second race 3rd overall. This is some achievement and putting those results in perspective this is only the third race of the series and Seb has 5 trophies.

Seb’s natural talent came through in the racing. Thruxton is a fast circuit which brings close racing. Exciting for the crowds but requires good race craft to hold and gain positions. In the first race Seb held his position well and came in 5th overall and 1st Rookie. In the second race the sun was out and on the track the heat was on. There was fabulous close racing and both at the front and back errors were made which the rest of the field capatalised on. The track conditions were hot and this combined with the abrasive nature of the track put pressure on tyres. Seb raced impeccably and brought home his first full podium taking 3rd. Next race is Oulton park.

Weekend 16-17th April Donington

This was the second meet for Seb Priaulx and three podiums. What a result!! Third fastest rookie in each race and showing huge potential to be able to improve on this in future races. Conditions were cold and wet in the first race and SP drove excellently to gain his position. For the second race the sun came out and the track dried out. SP was chasing third overall and got squeezed on the top of Craner curves and pushed wide coming on the back straight. Holding on for the third fastest rookie was a great result in this race. The third and final race had a lot of defensive driving needed and SP held his position excellent pulling of his third podium finish. Fantastic driving and great racing. Next stop is Thruxton 7th – 8th May 2016 and everything to play for.

Weekend 2-3rd April Brands Hatch

This was the opening session for Seb Priaulx and he showed fabulous potential. In the qualifying he came through 4th fastest. Amazing achievement given the experience and talent in the field. Unfortunately SP crept forward in his starting box and received a drive through penalty in the first race (a little harsh as he gained no advantage for doing this). This put SP down the field for his first race as he got stuck behind slower traffic and at Brands Indy circuit it is difficult to overtake. For the second race SP started in the second half of the grid and made his way up the field impressively. Coming into the last corner he got tapped by a competitor and spun. All in a days work in the office for SP and some great experience. SP can hold his head high as he achieved 3rd fastest Rookie and had a Rookie podium position until he was tapped. Onwards and upwards for SP, next stop Donington Park 16 – 17 April
